Turkish Airlines and Anadolu Jet Damaged Luggage and Rude Staff
On March 16th, I flew with Anadolu Jet from Rize to Istanbul. After the flight, I discovered that my suitcase had been damaged, with a tear and a hole in one corner. The airline staff created a report with the code SAWTK50377. They took photos of the damaged luggage, my passport, and other boarding and baggage tags. After that, I received no follow-up. I contacted Turkish Airlines and they confirmed the report, instructing me to send the necessary documents via email. I sent the email, but then they asked me to upload the documents to their system. However, the system continuously failed to save the images and kept giving errors. On April 30, 2024, at 08:44, during my call with the Turkish Airlines contact center, the staff was rude, shouted at me, and handled the call inappropriately, eventually transferring me back to the main menu, sabotaging my attempt to resolve the issue. Honestly, my suitcase is damaged, and despite being told 'we will compensate for the damage,' I have been strung along for 50 days. Additionally, I have been subjected to shouting and inappropriate behavior from the staff. My tracking number is 2024065049.
The company THY damaged the suitcase and rejected the compensation and replacement request on the grounds that it did not create an issue preventing its use. They made this decision after piercing my new product and damaging it :d
