Turkish Airlines Added Unexpected Extra Fees – Request Refund

I purchased a flight ticket through Turkish Airlines for travel from New York on 10 July 2026. During the booking process, no clear information was provided about any additional “extra fees” that would be charged on top of the ticket price. However, at the time of payment I was unexpectedly charged an extra 480 USD under the description “extra fees.” This amount was not transparently stated or broken down during the online booking, and I only became aware of it when I was paying. I consider this situation misleading, as all mandatory charges should be clearly presented at the time of booking, not added later. I contacted Turkish Airlines customer service about this issue, but I did not receive a clear or satisfactory explanation regarding why this 480 USD was charged or how it was calculated. I request that this matter be urgently reviewed, that a detailed explanation be provided about this extra 480 USD, and that the unjust additional amount be fully refunded to me. I kindly ask that my complaint be evaluated and that the refund be processed as soon as possible.
