I Experienced Inconvenience Due To the Unfair Profit of Turkish Airlines
On 8.11.2023, I purchased round-trip tickets from Turkish Airlines (THY) for 2 adults and 1 infant with flight number UBL2TF, traveling from Antalya to Northern Cyprus. Despite completing the ticket purchase and payment, we were not informed via SMS or email that even a newborn must have a photo on their ID card to travel. Legally, there is no photo requirement for children under 15 years old. After facing this issue, I attempted to buy tickets from Pegasus today, and they immediately warned us about the photo requirement before the ticket purchase. However, THY did not provide any such warning and caused significant inconvenience. When I canceled my ticket, THY deducted approximately 60% of the fare, which I find unfair. If my grievance is not resolved, I will never consider traveling with THY again.
