TuneCore Underpaid My Spotify Royalties and Has Not Released My Earnings
I am experiencing a serious payment issue regarding the Spotify streaming revenue for my music distributed through TuneCore. Based on my streaming numbers, I expected to receive between $120 and $150 in royalties. However, only $27 has been reflected in my TuneCore account. The difference is substantial and requires a clear explanation.
What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I have not yet received the $27 currently shown in my account. In other words, not only do my earnings appear to be significantly underreported, but the amount that is visible has also not been paid out to me. As a Professional Plan subscriber, I contacted TuneCore support for assistance, but I have not received any response. According to the benefits of the Professional Plan, support requests should receive a response within one business day, yet this commitment has not been honored.
Because of this lack of transparency and support, I have started seriously considering moving my music to alternative distribution platforms. As an artist, I expect to receive the full value of my work accurately and on time. I request that TuneCore thoroughly review my Spotify streaming statistics, provide a transparent explanation of how my royalties were calculated, and pay any remaining balance that is owed to me. I also request a clear written response regarding my support inquiries and an explanation for the delays despite my Professional Plan subscription.
Please note that all of my songs receive streams from a global audience, which is why I expected royalty earnings within the stated range.
