Trip.com Did Not Refund My Canceled Uzbekistan Flight Ticket
Through the Trip.com application, I purchased a one-way flight ticket for January 6 from Istanbul to Uzbekistan with a connection in Namangan. The itinerary included an Istanbul–Namangan flight operated by Uzbekistan Airways and a connecting Namangan–Tashkent flight operated by Silk Avia.
However, the Namangan–Tashkent flight was canceled, and no flights operated on that route for the following three days. Because of this, I was stranded in Namangan and could not reach Tashkent as originally planned.
Despite repeatedly reporting my situation and inconvenience to Trip.com, I still have not received any refund for the canceled ticket.
I opened support requests through the application, exchanged messages, sent emails, and contacted customer service multiple times. Every time, I was told that my request had been received and the process was ongoing. However, afterward, I discovered that my refund request had simply been canceled.
At one point, I was contacted only by an English-speaking representative to discuss the issue, but even after that conversation, no refund or compensation was provided.
Because of the canceled flight, I was forced to remain in Namangan and had to spend approximately $315 on additional train tickets, accommodation, and food expenses during this unexpected delay.
I request a full refund, with interest, of the approximately $298 I paid for the canceled Namangan–Tashkent flight ticket, as well as reimbursement for the additional approximately $315 in expenses I incurred because of this situation.
