Canceled New York–Toronto Flight, Trip.com Refund Still Missing

I purchased a ticket through Trip.com for the December 29, 2025 New York–Toronto flight under reservation number 1638314906761560, paying a total of $233. Although the reservation appeared under Air Transat, the flight was to be operated by Porter. I received an email stating that the original flight had been canceled and that we had been rebooked on the 7:35 PM flight. However, when we arrived at the airport, we were informed at the counter that this flight had also been canceled, and no new ticket was issued to us.

As a result, even though the issue was not caused by me, I was forced to purchase a new ticket from another airport for approximately $413. During the refund process initiated through Trip.com for the canceled flight, I encountered serious issues. Customer service informed me that $214 would be refunded; however, since December 29 — approximately nine days ago — this amount has still not been credited to my account. Due to both the delay in the refund and the fact that the full amount has not been returned, my financial loss continues.

Despite repeatedly contacting Trip.com’s online support, I have received only automated responses and no concrete resolution. Responses such as “our agents are working intensively” have been provided, but no meaningful progress has been made. Because of the cancellation, the additional ticket purchase, and the ongoing lack of resolution, I have suffered significant financial and time-related losses.

I request that the full $233 I originally paid be refunded to me immediately and without any deductions. I also demand compensation for the additional $413 I had to pay for the replacement ticket due to the cancellation. Furthermore, I request a clear and written explanation regarding both the delayed refund and the discrepancy in the refunded amount.
