Trip.com Booking Turned Into a Nightmare — Hotel Owner Tried to Launder Money
On October 28, 2025, at 01:50 a.m., I made a payment of approximately $3,400 through Trip.com for a reservation at Olenda Premium Cappadocia Hotel – Nar branch. Shortly after completing the booking, the hotel requested photos of my ID card to confirm the check-in. After sharing them, I was threatened and pressured to proceed with the stay against my will. Later, I discovered that my personal identification details had been shared without my consent.
Even worse, the hotel owner allegedly attempted to use my payment to launder money and threatened me when I refused to cooperate. This incident has caused serious emotional distress and privacy violations. I also learned that other guests have reportedly faced similar misconduct from the same establishment.
I have documents and written evidence proving the threats and the unauthorized use of my personal data. I am requesting that legal action be taken immediately regarding the threats, misuse of my identity information, and the hotel’s fraudulent activity. I also demand that Trip.com investigate this matter and ensure my personal data and payment are protected.
