I purchased a flight ticket from Trip.com for Jetstar Asia on June 15, 2025, paying $540 for what I thought would be a safe and hassle-free booking. Unfortunately, shortly before my travel date, the airline ceased operations, and my flight was canceled. Although the cancellation was beyond my control, Trip.com has still not processed my refund. Shockingly, when I checked, the estimated refund timeline was listed as almost a full year later.
I immediately contacted Trip.com customer service several times, hoping for quick support in this situation. However, every interaction has been unhelpful and dismissive. They merely redirected me to automated replies, leaving me stranded without a flight or a refund.
Due to this delay, I had to purchase a last-minute replacement ticket, which cost significantly more, worsening my financial loss. Beyond the monetary impact, this has caused me stress and uncertainty in my travel plans.
I explicitly demand the full and immediate refund of my original ticket amount. Additionally, I request an official apology and compensation for the financial and emotional hardship I’ve endured.
