TP-Link WR400 2.4 GHz Frequency Fails Completely After Firmware Update
On April 9, 2025, I purchased a TP-Link WR400 router from Vatan Bilgisayar. For approximately three months, the device has suffered from a hardware failure: the 2.4 GHz frequency band is completely non-functional and invisible, broadcasting strictly over the 5 GHz band. Consequently, the majority of devices in my household cannot detect the network or connect to the internet.
Prior to submitting the unit for physical inspection, I engaged in extensive remote troubleshooting with TP-Link technical support. Representatives performed remote configuration adjustments, factory resets, and fresh re-installations, none of which restored the 2.4 GHz frequency. The router was subsequently sent to authorized service, remaining in technical custody for approximately 20 days.
The official service report claimed that a firmware update was performed and that testing was successful with no hardware defects detected. However, upon re-installing the returned router, the exact same failure persists: the 2.4 GHz network remains completely absent.
Under consumer protection regulations regarding defective goods, returning a malfunctioning unit with superficial software updates while ignoring an unaddressed hardware failure is unacceptable.
I demand that Vatan Bilgisayar and TP-Link accept joint liability, acknowledge the defective state of this unit, and issue an immediate product replacement or execute a complete refund.
