Tommee Tippee Bottles Emit Strong Chemical Odor

I purchased bottles with the Tommee Tippee brand, but they have a potent plastic smell that is almost reminiscent of insecticide. It seems odd that a brand that I've been using for the past nine months would have products like this. I was unsuccessful in getting rid of the odor despite washing it and soaking it in boiling water. This is not a low-cost item. I am completely at a loss for what to do in the end.
