Ten days ago, I purchased a The North Face NFOA8993 jacket and two other products for my children from the Samuray Sport store in Yalova. I paid a total of $990 for the purchase. The jacket was sold with a waterproof guarantee, and I specifically mentioned that I wanted a fully water-resistant product when making the purchase.
However, when I wore the jacket for the second time, during the first rainy day, it soaked through completely, leaving my clothes underneath wet. Within 15 days of purchase, I called and visited the store to report the issue. They told me they do not accept returns, but would send the jacket for inspection, which would take 21 business days. When I said I could bring it in on October 12, 2025, they asked me to bring it on October 15, and as of today, the product will be sent for inspection.
I was informed that the jacket has a 2-year brand warranty and a 6-month store warranty. My invoice number is 000021. Since this product was sold with a waterproof claim, yet clearly failed to meet that promise, I feel seriously misled and disappointed.
I am requesting a full refund and the return of all the products I purchased due to this issue.
