Teka Dishwasher Rusting, High Cost Of Replacement Basket
Hey, the baskets inside our Teka dishwasher, model DW605S, are rusting and falling apart! The machine is having problems draining water because old and rusty parts are getting in and causing issues. Usually, these baskets are supposed to be made of stainless steel, but it looks like there was a mistake during manufacturing because lots of people have mentioned this problem on the website. The production planning mistake happened because they didn't properly coat the steel or other materials with chrome or enamel. They were careless about it.
Can someone please explain to me why two internal baskets cost the same amount as half of the machine? Why do we have to pay so much for a faulty product that we have no control over? But, we might have to pay for maintenance and maybe for extra parts if something breaks. All of us in our building with 18 apartments have experienced this problem. Can this actually be done?
We hope that Teka, being such a popular brand, will help users in this situation. I'm not asking for a free replacement of the product, but if two baskets cost half the price of the machine, that's already too expensive. Over the years, we've replaced multiple dishwashers, but we've never noticed their baskets rusting or falling apart. But that's not the main problem.
We hope Teka can help us solve this problem. Thanks.
