Tchibo Online Shop Sent Missing Part

On 8 May 2026 I placed an order from the Tchibo online shop within the “75% discount on the second product” campaign. To benefit properly from the campaign, I deliberately chose two products with close prices, one of which was a pyjama set. When my order with number 700713284 was delivered, one of the products was missing: from the pyjama set, only the top was sent, the bottom was not in the package. I called customer services and reported that the product was incomplete. They told me that I should return the product I received and that if the missing item was in stock they would send it, and if not, they would issue a refund. However, they also stated that the refund would be made on the product to which they had applied the 75% discount. In this case, I would end up paying the other product as if there had been no campaign at all, which is financially unacceptable to me because the mistake is entirely on their side, not mine. When I asked them to reserve the last remaining item in stock for me until my return reached them so that it could be sent as the missing part, they replied that they had no such procedure. I am dissatisfied that, due to its own mistake, the company both causes financial loss and wastes the customer’s time instead of producing a simple solution. I request that the missing part of the pyjama set be sent to me without changing the conditions of the existing campaign and without causing me any financial loss, and that this problem be resolved as quickly as possible.
