I Face Opel Corsa Engine Fault And Collision System Warning With No Dealer Support

While driving my 2024 Opel Corsa, which is still under warranty, I first received a “Collision Avoidance System Fault” warning, followed by an “Engine Fault” warning, and the check engine light came on. I then contacted Opel Roadside Assistance and was directed to the nearest authorized service center, Çetaş Büyükçekmece Opel Service.

When I arrived at the service center, I explained the warning messages I had received and that the engine warning light was on. I also specifically stated that the vehicle was still under warranty. Despite this, I was first told, “We do not have a technician available, so we cannot inspect it.” Even after I explained that continuing to drive a vehicle with an active engine warning light could be risky, no inspection or diagnostic check was performed. I was then told to contact Opel Roadside Assistance again.

When the Opel Roadside Assistance representative spoke with the service center, the explanation changed. This time, I was told that “the diagnostic device is unavailable.” Hearing first that there was no technician and then that there was no diagnostic equipment within such a short period seriously damaged my confidence in the service center. During this entire process, I had to wait in front of the authorized service center for approximately 2 hours.

Later, an Opel Roadside Assistance team arrived and connected a diagnostic device to the vehicle. They completed the initial checks in approximately 5 minutes.

I find it unacceptable that an authorized service center refused to inspect a vehicle under warranty while both the engine warning light and safety-system warnings were active. The conflicting explanations and the way I was left without proper assistance raise serious concerns regarding both customer safety and service quality.

I request that Opel Turkey investigate this incident in detail, evaluate the conduct of Çetaş Büyükçekmece Opel Service, and provide me with a written explanation regarding the outcome of the review.
