Stayforlong Took My Payment But Never Made the Hotel Booking—No Support, No Refund

I booked a hotel through Stayforlong.com, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was shocked to find out that there was no reservation under my name. I gave the receptionist the confirmation number and the name of the site, only to be told they don’t work with Stayforlong and never received any booking from them.
I immediately tried to reach out to their customer service in both Turkey and abroad, but none of the email addresses responded. After receiving no help at all, I was forced to pay for the hotel again in cash and get a printed invoice as proof. I also requested written confirmation from the hotel that they do not work with Stayforlong, and the booking number was invalid.
After collecting all the necessary documents, I filed a chargeback with my bank. Fifteen days later, Stayforlong finally responded—not with an apology or resolution, but by asking why I disputed the charge. Seriously? You took my money and gave me nothing in return—of course I’m disputing it.
This company is based in Barcelona, Spain, and it’s clear they hide behind the lack of accountability that comes with international operations. The only real recourse is through your bank. If you’ve been scammed like I was, gather proof and immediately start a chargeback process.
