Spokeo Charged Me $29.95 For A Subscription I Never Authorized

After purchasing a one-time report from Spokeo, I discovered that I was subsequently signed up for a monthly subscription for $29.95 without my clear consent. According to my bank statement, this unauthorized charge was made on May 28, 2026. I did not need a monthly plan, did not knowingly subscribe to one, and did not use any additional services beyond the original one-time report. I contacted Spokeo support about this unauthorized charge but have not yet received any response. I find it unacceptable that my card was charged for a subscription I neither requested nor used. I request that my Spokeo account be closed, any active subscription be cancelled immediately, and the $29.95 taken on May 28, 2026, be fully refunded to my card.
