If your baggage is lost, it’s important to act as quickly as possible:
Step-by-Step Guide:
Report it at the airport.
Immediately after arrival, go to the Lost & Found desk.
Fill out a Property Irregularity Report (PIR).
Keep a copy of the report and its reference number.
Provide your contact details.
Leave your address and phone number so the airline can reach you.
Track the status.
Ask how you can follow the progress of the search.
Request an online tracking link if available.
Request compensation for baggage delay.
If the baggage is not found within 21 days, it is considered lost.
You are entitled to compensation under the Montreal Convention (up to ~€1200) or according to the airline’s internal rules.
Prepare documents for compensation:
Passport
Boarding pass
Baggage tag
File a written claim.
If your baggage is not found, submit a claim for damages and include a list of the missing items.
❗ If Southwind Airlines delays the search or refuses compensation without valid reasons — 👉 file a complaint on Xolvie 👈. Your feedback will help other passengers protect their rights.
