Skycop Delays SunExpress Flight Compensation for Nearly One Year
I experienced an approximately 5-hour delay on my SunExpress flight. In order to receive the compensation I was entitled to, I submitted a claim through Skycop on August 7, 2024, and began tracking the process through Skycop’s website.
After my application, Skycop requested certain documents, which I provided. Later, the system showed that I had won the compensation claim. I also shared my IBAN details with Skycop a long time ago. Despite this, I have not received any payment for nearly a year. For the past two weeks, the system has repeatedly displayed the message, “Your compensation will be sent as soon as possible,” yet there has been no actual progress.
Even though it clearly shows that I have won my compensation, I find it unacceptable and damaging to trust that the payment has been delayed for such a long time while I continue to see vague messages like “as soon as possible.” I am requesting that the compensation amount I am entitled to be transferred to my IBAN account immediately, without any further delay, and that a clear explanation be provided as to why the payment has been held for so long.
In the Skycop app, while on the tab indicating that the compensation has reached them and will be transferred to me as soon as possible, an email dated 28.01.2026 stated that the compensation would be paid on 03.03.2026. On 05.03.2026, this tab was removed and the case was reverted to the previous stage, the "Waiting for payment from the company" mode. No one should wait for money. Despite both national and international laws, because of the hasty investigations of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, we end up in the hands of these people. These people obtain your compensation from the relevant company through legal means but do not give a single cent to you. Therefore, it is better not to waste effort trying to earn money for the public and end up being fooled, than to not bother at all.
