Skoda Kodiaq Water Leak Causes Mold Smell Inside Car

I am the second owner of a 2025 Skoda Kodiaq, and I am experiencing a serious and ongoing problem with odor and water accumulation in the vehicle. I purchased the car from the first owner, who told me he was selling it because of a bad smell inside. I initially believed that a thorough cleaning would eliminate cigarette or other odors, but the issue turned out to be much more serious.
During a detailed cleaning, we discovered rusty water accumulation in the rubber compartment under the trunk floor. Although we cleaned this area, the same problem returned shortly afterward. As a result, the interior of the car constantly smells like mold and rotten fish. When the weather is humid or the vehicle is exposed to sunlight, the odor becomes unbearable, making it extremely difficult to remain inside the car comfortably.
This situation indicates a structural or chronic defect in the vehicle. I first noticed the water accumulation and odor issue on March 15, 2026, and contacted Skoda’s authorized service center (Avek) in Istanbul. So far, the vehicle has only been cleaned; no technical inspection or repair has been carried out by either the authorized service or any independent service. When I researched the issue online, I found that many other Kodiaq owners are experiencing similar problems, which has further increased my concern.
My primary expectation from Skoda is that this vehicle, which I believe has a chronic defect, be replaced with a fault-free one or that a buyback option be considered. As a last resort, I request a detailed and comprehensive inspection and a permanent resolution of the issue free of charge under warranty or goodwill.
I respectfully ask that this matter be taken seriously, that the root cause of the water intrusion and odor problem be identified, and that I not be left with a vehicle that is extremely difficult to use in daily life due to this persistent and severe odor.
