Sixt Gave Me a Renault Instead of the Mercedes I Paid for

On February 14, 2025, I needed a vehicle for a funeral and made a reservation for a specific car at the Taksim branch of Sixt, paying in advance. However, when I went to pick up the car, the staff, in a mocking tone, told me that my Findeks score was insufficient. To proceed with the rental, we completed the paperwork under my brother’s name while I was listed as the additional driver. Although I had paid for a Mercedes-Benz, I was given a Renault Trafic instead and had no choice but to accept it. The staff claimed that the cars in the pictures could differ from the actual vehicles provided. Upon returning, I contacted Sixt representatives via phone and email through customer service and support lines. What Findeks score is required? (We cannot see the company’s criteria or what scale they use for rejection.) Are you misleading people with invisible and unknown criteria? Or are you exploiting people’s difficult situations and vulnerabilities? To make matters worse, they shamelessly responded: “We regret that we were unable to provide service to you due to the relevant rental conditions and wish you good health.”

We assume that you have read and accepted our rental conditions, which we have communicated to you during the reservation and which are also written on the page. For a safer driving and rental experience, the financial analyses of our customers are conducted through the site, as communicated to our valued customers through our website. If the report submission is not approved by you, or if the result of the financial analysis does not meet the Sixt Rent a Car vehicle rental conditions, the vehicle will not be delivered even if a reservation has been made. Dear Sixt Rent a Car representative, I didn't have time to read your contract text as if it were an epic, and we need to be lawyers to read it, which is not possible. Findeks, like you, still hasn't been able to respond. Could you possibly have an agreement with Findeks? 2.5 months ago, I rented a car from you. Could it be that you didn't have an agreement with Findeks then, and you gave me a car that day? Nothing has changed economically or otherwise in 2.5 months. Is it not misleading advertising to take the prepaid reservation (a) vehicle fee and give a (b) vehicle instead? Then why do you share the payment and the brand and picture of the vehicle when taking the car rental fee? Isn't this misleading? The message you sent does not include the explanation you made, and there is no statement in your contract saying (we take the payment and give the vehicle we want). Stop misleading people.
