Sixt Falsely Charging €1320 for Pre-Existing Damage

Sixt is an unreliable company. Despite my communication with them, they charged us €1320 for damages we did not cause. They are blaming us for a small, 1-2 cm old, rusted scratch that we did not make. This is unacceptable, and we refuse to accept this charge. We will pursue legal action against them. I should have gone with a company like Avis; trusting Sixt was a mistake. Similar complaints can be found on various forums, showing a pattern of this behavior. The cameras should be reviewed, as no staff were present when we picked up or returned the vehicle, clearly setting us up for these false charges. We strongly reject this unfair treatment and will not back down.
