Scottish Power Overcharged Me Despite Correct Meter Reading and Delayed Adjustments
The most annoying energy supplier I have ever used has been Scottish Power. I was billed for months with predictions much above my actual consumption. I entered my accurate meter reading after I discovered the problem, and it showed up on their website exactly. Their customer support agent advised, however, that I should still pay the higher projected amount even if it would result in possible late penalties should I refuse. I tried telling them I shouldn't have to pay for inaccurate estimations, but they insisted it would take 14 days to change their billing system even though the website immediately reflected my accurate use. Their employees seem directed to obey policy without regard for the demands of the customer. I intend to change suppliers and would not suggest Scottish Power to anyone.
