I purchased a Samsung 70TU7100 70-inch TV two years ago. Two months before the warranty expired, the TV's panel malfunctioned. I contacted the authorized service provider, who visited my home twice but failed to identify any issue. Four months after the warranty expired, the same problem reoccurred. Upon a third visit, the technician confirmed a panel failure and quoted a replacement cost of 35,000 TL (approximately $5,000). Samsung's central customer service offered a 50% discount on the panel replacement, bringing the cost down to 17,500 TL (approximately $2,500). While I appreciate Samsung's willingness to offer a discount, I am deeply disappointed with the overall situation. The panel failure occurred just two months before the warranty expiration, and the TV has become unusable within a mere 2.5 years. Considering Samsung's reputation for quality products, this experience is unacceptable. Moreover, I own another Samsung TV that has been functioning flawlessly for nearly 14 years, further highlighting the inconsistency in quality control. Numerous complaints about similar panel failures with this specific model, coupled with the issue's onset during the warranty period and the short lifespan of the product, strongly suggest inherent defects in the design or manufacturing process. I demand an immediate and satisfactory resolution to this matter.
