Rossmann Charges Higher Online Price for Product Sold Cheaper in Store

I placed an order on Rossmann’s website on February 4, 2026 for the product “Ideenwelt Digital Alarm Clock,” which was prominently labeled as “Online Exclusive.” Based on the clear impression that this wording indicated a special, more advantageous price available only through the online channel, I completed my purchase under this assumption (order no: RSO101620965). Including shipping costs, the product cost me $12 in total. However, yesterday I visited your Bursa Özlüce store and was very surprised to see the exact same product being sold there for $10, without any “special” label or promotional campaign, meaning that the so-called online exclusive price was not special at all. This situation has created a clear impression that the “Online Exclusive” label is being used as a marketing illusion that may mislead consumers. For a product I could have purchased from the store within five minutes, I was unnecessarily made to pay shipping costs and wait for delivery because I trusted the “Online Exclusive” wording on your website. I find it difficult to reconcile this practice with Rossmann’s stated commitment to customer loyalty and respect for consumer rights. In accordance with consumer protection regulations and the principle of good faith, I request a refund of the financial loss caused by this artificially created sense of exclusivity on your digital platform, including the shipping fee and the price difference between the online and in-store prices. Otherwise, I would like to state that I will initiate the necessary proceedings regarding this misleading advertising practice before the Ministry of Trade Advertising Board and the Consumer Arbitration Committee. As a brand that emphasizes German quality, I consider it my most natural right to expect the same level of care and integrity in your marketing ethics, and I respectfully request that my complaint be reviewed and resolved as soon as possible.

Thank you.
