Renault Denied My Warranty Claim Even Though I Requested Service on Time
After my complaint on May 28, 2025, I received a phone call from a representative at BNP Paribas Cardif, Mr. Er***, who dismissed my legal requests, stating that the warranty period had expired. My request for a written statement was turned down, and I was just informed that the call was being recorded. Nonetheless, according to Law No. 6502 regarding Consumer Protection, any rejection sent to the consumer must be documented in writing and accompanied by a justification, rendering this response evidently unlawful. On January 31, 2024—prior to the warranty expiration—I reached out to the authorized Renault service to request the replacement of defective parts, as noted in the service intake form. I previously raised a concern regarding Xolvie, clearly mentioning that the vehicle was producing noise from the undercarriage, a detail that was also acknowledged by the service team. This clearly demonstrates that BNP Paribas Cardif did not meet its contractual commitments. On February 21, 2024, I submitted another complaint titled “BNP Paribas Cardif Extended Warranty Scam,” explaining that I had to go to the service center three times for a malfunctioning air conditioner, which was finally fixed on the third visit. Even though the sway bar bushings were supposed to be covered by warranty, I ended up paying ₺3,000 with my credit card. The company initially claimed that parts couldn't be replaced until the warranty expired, yet they later denied any responsibility after the warranty period ended. I would like to request the following: a replacement for the faulty parts covered under warranty, completion of the service that was not fulfilled, a written response that justifies the verbal rejection I received, an investigation into BNP Paribas Cardif’s conduct to address any bad faith actions, the implementation of necessary sanctions to protect consumers, and improvements to Renault's customer service and warranty management processes. I kindly request that these evident legal violations be taken seriously and addressed promptly. If this issue is not resolved, I will not hesitate to take all appropriate legal steps to address it through the proper channels. A look at the past complaints regarding Xolvie reveals a consistent pattern of these problems.
