Proton VPN Keeps Connecting Me to a Laggy Netherlands Server

I primarily use Proton VPN to play Roblox. Whenever I open the application, it automatically connects me to the fastest free server, which is usually the Netherlands server. Even though the server load appears to be around 72%, I experience severe lag while playing Roblox, and this problem has caused me to lose games multiple times.

I have been experiencing this performance problem regularly for approximately 1–2 months while gaming on my Windows 11 Pro computer. Interestingly, when I manually connect to the Mexico server, the server load is usually around 30–35%, yet the connection is significantly faster and smoother, and I experience almost no lag in the game. Despite this, the application continues to direct me to the Netherlands server and identifies it as the fastest free server.

I believe there may be an issue with Proton VPN’s server selection algorithm or with the performance of the Netherlands server. I request that the lagging problem on the Netherlands server be investigated, that optimization be performed if necessary, and that users be directed to the server that actually provides the fastest and most stable connection. I would appreciate a proper technical investigation of this issue and a response regarding the findings.
