Proton VPN Stuck on Connecting in Windows 11

I use the free version of Proton VPN on my Windows 11 computer. For the past four days, the application has been getting... stuck on the "Connecting" screen and never establishes a VPN connection. I have tried connecting multiple times at different times of the day, but the result is always the same.
