Having extended the warranty of my Protherm Lynx 24 boiler annually, paid until 2023, the trouble began after the last free maintenance by DemirDöküm in March 2023. Despite my insistence on getting the service done towards winter, they were adamant about doing it during that period.
After the maintenance on April 10, 2023, I reported an issue where the burner kicked in 2-3 times within a minute, indicating a malfunction. The technician suggested pressing the eco button, claiming it would fix the issue, or increasing the temperature a bit due to potential radiator blockage (see attached screenshots).
As summer approached, I shut down the boiler. When I reopened it in December 2023, the same issue persisted. I contacted customer service, and the same technician informed me that the motherboard was faulty. I reminded him that this issue arose after his intervention on April 10, 2023, but he insisted I could replace the motherboard for ₺2900.
Despite having no prior complaints about my boiler, the company that persistently called for maintenance, ultimately causing the issue, shrugged off responsibility by claiming, "Maintenance has nothing to do with the motherboard." DemirDöküm contacted me every year, demanding payment for extending the warranty. Despite this being the first issue with the boiler, no such approach was made before. I seek a resolution to my predicament.
