I Keep Replacing Batteries Every 2–3 Days on My Philips 50PUS8506 Ambilight TV Remote
70

I’m using a Philips 50PUS8506 Ambilight TV, and the remote control’s battery life is absurdly short. The batteries drain within 2 to 3 days of regular use, which is completely unacceptable. I’ve already gone through multiple sets, and it’s becoming expensive and frustrating. I’ve read that Philips has sent support emails or solutions to others experiencing the same issue, and I’m requesting that the same support be extended to me.

It is not normal to replace batteries this often for a brand-new television remote. I’ve combed through several complaint pages, all stating the same issue, but no clear fix has been provided publicly. If this is a known problem, Philips should offer a permanent resolution—either a replacement remote or a firmware update if that’s what’s causing the issue.
