On June 23, 2025, my Pegasus Airlines flight from Barcelona to Istanbul, originally scheduled for 1:55 PM, was canceled and subsequently departed at 1:55 AM the following day. This cancellation notification for our round-trip tickets, purchased via Pegasus online, was only sent via email after we had already landed in Barcelona.
Due to our reservations being made months in advance, this significant delay caused substantial hardship. It resulted in unforeseen additional accommodation costs, forced us to return to work the next morning severely sleep-deprived, incurred various extra expenses on the day of the delay, and subjected us to nearly 10 hours of waiting at the airport with children. Our compensation claims (application numbers 13087006 and 13033692) have been rejected with vague excuses such as "flight safety" and "unforeseen circumstances," which are dismissive and legally unfounded given the lack of proper notification. The simplicity and baselessness of Pegasus's response, coupled with the absence of accountability, is a clear and deeply frustrating indicator of the brand's lack of corporate responsibility. I demand full compensation for all incurred costs and damages resulting from this unacceptable delay.
