Pegasus Airlines Delayed My Flight and I Paid More for Nothing
On 11 May, I bought a flight ticket from Pegasus Airlines to travel from Izmir to Istanbul on 27 May. While the 13:10 flight on that day was priced at ₺999, I chose to pay ₺152.69 more for the 11:10 flight because I had early meetings and interviews. However, on the day of the flight, the plane was delayed by more than 2 hours and didn’t take off until after 13:30. As a result, not only were my plans disrupted, but I also ended up paying more than those who took the later flight, which actually departed before mine. I reported the issue to Pegasus customer service and requested at least a refund of the price difference as a gesture of goodwill or a generous amount of points as compensation. Instead, they replied with emails that felt dismissive, as if mocking the situation. Please review their response to my email and judge for yourself. I will think a hundred times before buying a ticket from a company that lacks professionalism and clearly places customer satisfaction as a low priority, and I plan to share this experience with all my friends and business contacts.
