On February 11, 2026, I was booked on a Pegasus Airlines flight from İzmir to Sharm with PNR code 1FWUV4, boarding group C, number 57, scheduled to depart at 10:30 AM.
At the airport, I was clearly informed that I did not have cabin baggage allowance and that my ticket only included checked baggage for the aircraft hold. I explained this to the staff, but I was told, “It won’t be a problem, you can proceed like this,” and I was allowed to continue with my 8 kg cabin-size suitcase.
However, after boarding began and I reached the aircraft door, I was suddenly charged a 50 Euro penalty for carrying cabin baggage.
I find it completely unfair and unacceptable that I was verbally reassured at the airport and then, at the very last moment, charged a penalty at the aircraft entrance. This situation was confusing, inconsistent, and highly unprofessional.
When I expressed my concern to the staff at the gate, I was met with a dismissive response and told, “Complain wherever you want.” I found this attitude extremely upsetting and inappropriate.
I am requesting a full refund of the 50 Euro penalty charged at the aircraft door. I also request that Pegasus Airlines officially review and address the contradictory information provided by staff, as well as the unprofessional behavior I experienced.
I expect Pegasus to correct this unfair practice and ensure that other passengers do not face similar issues in the future.
