Damaged Baggage Claim - Pegasus Airlines
I am filing this complaint regarding Pegasus Airlines’ mishandling of my damaged baggage compensation and their failure to pay the amount they officially committed to under File Reference (PIR) VKOPC10845 for my journey from Karachi to Moscow via Istanbul on 15 September (flights PC131 and PC386). On 1 October 2026, I received an official email from Pegasus Guest Relations ([email protected]) confirming that the payment procedure on their side had been completed and that I would be reimbursed 60 EUR. In their correspondence, Pegasus requested my bank details for the compensation payment and explicitly stated that the transfer would be made to my PKR bank account in Pakistan. I provided the full banking coordinates as instructed and, on the same day, I replied clearly stating “I ACCEPT THE OFFER” and confirming that the payment could be made to my PKR bank account. Despite their written confirmation that the payment process was completed and that the compensation would be paid to my PKR account, more than three weeks have passed and no funds have been credited. During this period, I have sent multiple follow-up emails to Pegasus to ask for the status of the transfer, yet I have received no reply at all. My emails have been completely ignored, which shows a lack of professionalism, courtesy and accountability. The baggage damage was fully recorded at Moscow Vnukovo (VKO) Airport, my claim was formally processed, and Pegasus accepted responsibility and approved the compensation. Under these circumstances, withholding the agreed payment after confirming completion of the procedure and then ignoring all follow-up communication is, in my view, a clear violation of passenger and consumer rights. I request Pegasus Airlines to immediately execute and clear the compensation payment of 60 EUR to my PKR bank account as previously agreed and to provide the full payment details, including the transaction reference or ARN number. If this matter is not resolved without any further delay, I will escalate this case as a formal legal dispute to the Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) under SHY-PASSENGER rights.
