Peugeot 3008 Oil Leak After Timing Belt Replacement

2

I own a 2017 Peugeot 3008 1.6 BlueHDi and recently took my car to the authorized Peugeot dealership in Ankara, ABC Grup Peugeot, for a timing belt replacement under Peugeot’s official campaign and a routine oil and filter change. Although I had stayed away from authorized services in the last years due to high prices and similar issues, I decided to give the authorized dealer another chance because this was an official campaign. Unfortunately, this decision has turned into a serious regret. Right after picking up my car, I noticed a significant engine oil leak. I immediately returned to the service, and they admitted that they had not tightened the gasket properly, corrected it and gave the vehicle back to me. However, when I checked the oil level afterward, I saw that it was still gradually decreasing, and I had to bring the car back to the service for a third time, which caused me considerable loss of time and disruption in my work life. On my last visit, with closing work order number 10731006 dated 31.07.2026, I was given a report stating that there is oil seepage in the cylinder head area and that the engine needs to be completely disassembled for inspection. Before I brought my car to this service for an oil change and timing belt replacement, there was absolutely no oil leak or oil loss problem. I handed over a fault-free vehicle, and now I am facing a serious engine-related issue right after the maintenance performed by the authorized dealer. If such a problem had existed beforehand, it should have been detected and clearly explained to me during the initial inspection, but no such information was given. At the moment, I cannot drive my car with peace of mind, I constantly have to check the oil level and top it up, and I am worried about potential long-term engine damage. I believe that a customer who delivers a problem-free car to an authorized dealership should receive it back in at least the same condition, not with a new, serious fault. This careless service approach alienates customers from both the authorized service and the Peugeot brand. I request that Peugeot and ABC Grup Peugeot take responsibility for this situation, that all necessary engine disassembly, inspection, repair and any required parts and labor be carried out free of charge under the responsibility of the authorized service, and that my vehicle be returned to me in a safe and trouble-free condition. I also request a written explanation regarding how this problem arose immediately after the maintenance and what measures will be taken so that similar situations are not repeated.
