Pegasus Airlines Unfulfilled Baggage Damage Compensation

I travelled with Pegasus Airlines under PNR 13H2Z7 on flights PC389 from Moscow Vnukovo to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen on 26 August 2025 and PC261 from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen to Podgorica on 27 August 2025, with three adult passengers on this booking. During this journey, my checked baggage was damaged. I immediately filed a claim with Pegasus Airlines, which was registered under reference number 13546712. Pegasus reviewed the claim, accepted liability and offered a monetary settlement, which I accepted. Following this, I provided the requested information to enable the payment to be made. On 11 September 2025, I received an official email from Pegasus Guest Relations ([email protected]) stating that “the payment process for your application with the number 13546712 has started.” Despite this clear confirmation and the passage of more than five months since then, no payment has been made to date. My repeated attempts to resolve this issue through Pegasus Airlines’ customer service have been unsuccessful. This situation is completely unacceptable. By confirming the settlement and initiating the payment process, Pegasus Airlines entered into a binding obligation. The continued failure to transfer the agreed funds constitutes a breach of this agreement. I hereby demand that the agreed compensation be transferred to my bank account within 14 calendar days of this complaint, and in any case no later than 24 February 2026. If I do not receive the payment by 24 February 2026, I will, without further notice, file a formal complaint with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Turkey via ctm.shgm.gov.tr regarding Pegasus Airlines’ failure to honour its compensation commitment, submit an application to the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Board, and pursue legal action under the Montreal Convention, which governs international air carrier liability for baggage damage and provides a limitation period of two years from the date of arrival. All correspondence, including your settlement confirmation email dated 11 September 2025, has been retained as evidence. I expect Pegasus Airlines to promptly fulfil its payment obligation and close this matter without any further delay.
