On January 2, 2026, I noticed a charge of $56 on my VakıfBank Platinum Plus Metal credit card under the name pdfe.com. When I called customer service, I learned that similar charges of $56 had also been made in November and December, and that in October, there were two smaller charges of $1 each. I discovered these transactions purely by chance while reviewing my credit card activity. On those dates and times, I did not visit the pdfe.com website, did not perform any file conversion or similar action, and did not start any subscription.
About three months ago, on October 26, 2025, I clicked on a page to merge a few PDF pages, and the displayed price was $1, clearly a one-time fee. I paid only that amount and did not request or approve any subscription or registration—I was not even aware of one. I didn’t knowingly use pdfe.com at all. I received only a single email related to that one transaction, written in a foreign language. There was no information stating that a subscription had been started, that a trial would later become paid, or that $56 would be charged in the future. As far as I remember, I was trying to use the free version of another application, possibly WPS Office, and there was no indication of any subscription, let alone a monthly charge of $56. I received no further notifications or disclosures. Since that day, I have not accessed the mentioned website even once. Even if I used it once by mistake, charging $56 for three consecutive months is an excessive and unreasonable amount.
In addition, I request that this unauthorized and unfair billing be investigated by pdfe.com, that I be informed how my card details were used, and that the three separate charges of $56 each be fully refunded to me. I also demand that all transactions made without my knowledge or consent be canceled immediately and that any so-called subscriptions associated with my account be permanently terminated.
