PDF Guru Charged $50 Without Consent — How to Cancel Unauthorized Subscription and Get Refund
On October 21, 2025, I made a $0.70 payment on the PDF Guru website via my computer for a one-time 7-day plan. I continued without creating a membership and only intended to use the service once. However, without any prior notice or authorization, on October 28, 2025, $50 was charged to my Enpara card for a so-called monthly subscription. This transaction occurred even though I never saved my card details on the site.
As soon as I noticed the issue, I contacted PDF Guru and requested a refund. However, they told me that they would not refund the payment, offering instead a free membership, which I refused since I had already paid for the service. They also stated that they do not have a refund policy. I find it completely unfair that such a high amount was charged, especially since subscription fees for similar services are usually much lower.
I believe this constitutes unjust enrichment. I request a full refund of $50 to my Enpara card immediately.
