Complaint About PDF Guru Charges
I made a one-time payment for a PDF Guru service on 28 November 2025 through their official website, clearly with the expectation that it was not a recurring subscription. However, on 05 December 2025, I noticed an unexpected deduction of KES 79.08 from my account that I did not consent to or authorize. I checked their website thoroughly to find any option to cancel a subscription or disable auto-renewal, in case something had been activated without my knowledge, but any such option is either extremely hidden or does not exist at all. I find this practice very unethical, as there was no clear choice or confirmation presented to me between a one-time purchase and an auto-renewing subscription. I have already contacted PDF Guru customer support and am currently waiting for their response. I request that the unauthorized charge of KES 79.08 be refunded in full and that any hidden or automatic subscription linked to my one-time purchase be cancelled immediately. I also expect PDFGuru to make their billing and auto-renewal terms transparent and to give users a clear option to choose between a one-time purchase and a subscription.
