OnePlus Phone Gets Extremely Hot During Normal Use, Gallery, and YouTube

I’ve had this phone for only three days, and it overheats even during normal use. I can’t even hold it to my ear during phone calls because it gets too hot. I understand if a phone warms up while charging, but this one heats up even when I’m just browsing or looking through the gallery. When I watch YouTube, it becomes extremely hot within about 10 minutes. I’ve used at least 10 phones before, and this is the first time I’ve seen overheating this severe.

My previous phone was a OnePlus 9 Pro, and I replaced it because of charging issues — but this new phone also has serious overheating problems. The device is only three days old, and if I use it for five hours a day, it spends at least four of those hours feeling uncomfortably hot. I’m not even using a case. If I were to put one on, I probably wouldn’t be able to touch the screen from how hot it gets. You pay a lot of money for a device and end up dealing with this. I want to return the phone.
