Nissan X-Trail E-4ORCE E-Power Fault And Battery Short Circuit Issue

October 22, 2025 4:35 PM77

My 2023 Nissan X-Trail e-4ORCE suddenly displayed an “e-power fault” warning without any prior indication while I was driving, and I had to have it towed to Nissan Bostancıoğlu authorized service in Istanbul via roadside assistance. After inspection, I was informed that the 12-volt battery had short-circuited and needed to be replaced. However, I was also told that any potential damage caused by the short circuit could only be determined after replacing the part. The authorized service stated that the battery is not available in Turkey and that it would take approximately 30 days to import it from abroad. I find it unacceptable to be left waiting for a full month and unable to use my car due to the unavailability of such a basic and frequently replaced part. Furthermore, when I contacted customer service, I was met with a rude and indifferent attitude. I was simply told, “There’s nothing we can do about the part supply,” which I find extremely disappointing. The vehicle is still under warranty, and no additional charges have been requested during this process. My expectation from Nissan is that essential parts like this should be stocked domestically and supplied much more quickly. I request that the inconvenience I’ve experienced be addressed and that necessary measures be taken to prevent similar issues in the future.
