Nissan X Trail Battery Fails Repeatedly but Warranty Denies Replacement
I picked up my Nissan X-Trail from Ankara Nissan Efe Otomotiv on August 13, 2025. At 9,577 km, the car displayed a system error. On January 27, 2025, it was towed from Afyon to Eskişehir Nissan Teknik Oto authorized service. Upon inspection, a battery fault was detected, the batteries were charged, and three days later, I traveled from Konya to Eskişehir to retrieve my car. On February 24, 2025, the same system error occurred again, and I took my car to Konya Nissan Çelik Oto. After another inspection, I was informed it was a battery fault, and the batteries remained on charge for 16 hours before I collected the car on February 25, 2025. On March 13, 2025, I experienced the same system error and returned to Konya Nissan Çelik Oto, where they again diagnosed a battery issue. The batteries were connected to a charger, but while the service advised battery replacement, the warranty department refused to approve it, stating that the testing device must indicate a battery replacement is necessary. This is a regularly used vehicle with 11,778 km, not an idle one where battery degradation would be expected. Repeated battery failures suggest a deeper issue, and I plan to pursue legal action. So far, the total repair time due to this recurring issue has been 10 days.
