Nissa Car Rental Security Deposit Not Refunded After Car Return

I would like to report the serious issue I am experiencing with NISSA CAR RENTAL in Tirana, Albania, regarding the unlawful non-refund of my security deposit. I rented a Ford Focus from NISSA CAR RENTAL from 4 August 2026 until 12 August 2026. On 12 August 2026 I returned the car, and via both WhatsApp and SMS the company confirmed in writing that the vehicle was received in perfect condition, with no damages and no issues at all. Despite this clear confirmation, my security deposit of 600 EUR has not been returned for about one and a half months. During this period, NISSA CAR RENTAL has repeatedly delayed the refund with groundless excuses about “verifying the return”, even though they already confirmed in writing that everything was fine. Since they continue to unlawfully withhold my money, I have started taking formal steps. First, I have officially initiated a chargeback procedure with my bank on the basis of merchant fraud, so that the bank can recover the 600 EUR directly from their account. Second, I have filed an official complaint with CarJet under Booking ID CJT-xxx, asking them to review their partnership with this company due to their treatment of customers. Third, I have submitted a formal complaint to the Albanian Consumer Protection Commission (Komisioni i Mbrojtjes së Konsumatorëve) for illegal retention of funds. In the meantime, whenever I contact the company, I only receive new excuses instead of a concrete solution. I request the immediate refund of my 600 EUR deposit without any further delay, and I also want this situation to be recorded so that other customers are warned about this conduct.
