My Nine West Bag Started Peeling After Only Three Months
On March 20, 2026, I purchased a black shoulder bag from a Nine West store. By July, the material had started peeling, particularly around the corners, and the strap showed significant wear. I took the bag back to the store with my receipt and explained the problem.
A store employee photographed the bag and told me that I would receive a response. Three days later, I received a message stating that the problem was not caused by a manufacturing defect and that my replacement request had been denied. I do not consider it acceptable for a bag used for only approximately three months to develop this level of damage around the corners and strap.
The message claimed that the problem resulted from customer misuse rather than inadequate product quality. However, I used the bag only for normal, everyday purposes. I believe it is unfair to classify such severe damage after such a short period as customer misuse.
I am requesting that the bag be recognized as defective and that Nine West approve either a replacement or a refund. I also expect the company to consider the negative customer experience I have had throughout this process.
