If you’re getting weird filler or generic messages from NGL even though you never shared your link, you’re not alone—this has been documented.
When users shared a link and didn't get any responses, the app sent them messages from the "NGL team," which were labeled so users knew they weren't from friends.
To fix this, make sure that the messages clearly say "sent from the NGL team" or something similar. The policy says that system-generated content must have this name.
If it still feels like spam, go to your NGL settings or app store account and ask for a refund if you bought hints or a Pro subscription. You can also use the app's help/support line to report the behavior.
If you have experienced a similar issue, please feel free to share. You can also file a complaint on Xolvie.
