I ordered a pair of shoes from the official New Balance website, and before the item was even shipped — while it was still marked as “Preparing for Shipment” — the product went on sale with a 40% discount. It’s incredibly frustrating that the exact same product dropped significantly in price right after I placed my order, and yet there is no way for me to benefit from it.
Even worse, the website doesn’t offer a cancel button, so I can’t cancel the original order and reorder it at the discounted price. If I had the option to cancel, I would have gladly done so and avoided writing this complaint altogether.
I demand that New Balance either refund the price difference, provide a discount voucher, or cancel my order altogether so I can repurchase it at the current sale price. A brand like New Balance should not treat its customers this way. I expect a fair resolution immediately — this is not what I expected from a premium retailer.
