In February 2025, I converted a flight ticket I had purchased through Mytrip into an open ticket, and I was given the right to use it until February 2026. However, today when I searched for an Istanbul–London flight through Skyscanner, Mytrip displayed a price of approximately $325 USD per person. When I clicked on the Mytrip option, I was redirected to their website, but I was not allowed to use my open ticket there and received an error code.
I then called Mytrip customer service. They told me not to access the site through Skyscanner but instead to type mytrip.com directly into my browser and try again. When I did this, the price for the same flight increased to $359 USD per person, and only at the final step was I able to use my open ticket. However, the final amount still came out close to the higher price I had seen.
In summary, I believe that various methods were used to prevent me from using my open ticket and that two different prices were displayed for the exact same flight. Throughout this process, I feel clearly misled and unfairly treated due to the redirections and price differences. I request that my open ticket be honored at the lower price I initially saw and that the price difference be refunded to me.
