I Paid More for Mytrip.com Flight Ticket Due to Fake “Price Surge” Tactics

I’m a student trying to afford a flight, and what I experienced on Mytrip.com was nothing short of frustrating and unfair. I attempted to purchase a plane ticket that was listed at ₺18,000. I went through the entire booking process, only to be told at checkout that the price had increased due to “high demand.” The price jumped to ₺27,000 right before payment!
This wasn’t a one-time glitch—after several failed attempts (this happened four or five times), I was finally able to buy the same ticket for ₺24,000. This shady pricing behavior is not exclusive to Mytrip.com either. I’ve seen it happen on Turna and Gotogate as well. These platforms manipulate ticket prices in real-time, penalizing users mid-checkout with artificial surges.
I had no choice but to pay the inflated price because I urgently needed to travel. The attached screenshot shows the lower price right before I attempted to purchase. These practices are unethical and exploitative, especially for budget-conscious travelers and students like me. I demand transparency and a refund for the unjustified price hike. This behavior should be regulated immediately.
