MyIQ Scammer Don't Try Their IQ Test

I am writing to share my negative experience with the website MyIQ.com so that this issue can be resolved and other users can be better informed. On December 4, 2025, I took their online IQ test and at the end was offered my results for a small fee of $0.50. Because the amount was low and it seemed harmless, I paid through Apple Pay, which is linked to my debit card. What was not made clear to me at all was that this small payment would enroll me in any kind of subscription. Without any clear warning, confirmation, or consent on my side, MyIQ.com later charged my card $29.99 on December 11, 2025. I did not approve any recurring payment or subscription, and this extra amount came as a complete surprise. On my bank statement, the transaction appears under the merchant name “MyIQ”, and I used the service from Vietnam. When I noticed the charge, I contacted MyIQ.com by email and also left feedback on Trustpilot to ask for clarification and a refund. The responses I received by email were extremely frustrating. Instead of properly checking the situation, they kept sending the same repeated message, saying they could not find any transaction under my email or card number and suggesting that I try a different email or pay via PayPal. This gave me the impression that they were avoiding dealing with the issue rather than helping to resolve it. I also have not received any clear emails from them confirming a subscription or explaining why I was charged $29.99. I find both the way this subscription was set up and the way customer support handled my complaint to be very disappointing and unreliable. My clear expectation is that the unauthorized $29.99 charge is fully refunded and that any subscription or recurring payment linked to my previous $0.50 payment is cancelled immediately so that no further charges are made without my explicit consent.
