Some time ago, I completed an online IQ test on the website myiq.com/eu. While taking the test, I did not give consent to any subscription, recurring payment, or membership commitment under any circumstances. Today, I received an SMS from Enpara informing me that a €29.99 “subscription fee” had been placed as a pending authorization on my card in the name of myiq.com/eu. I never subscribed to this service and did not approve this charge.
As soon as I noticed the issue, I contacted Enpara customer service. My card was canceled for security reasons, but I was told they could not intervene in the pending authorization at this stage and that I would be able to file a dispute only after the charge is posted. Even so, I am extremely disturbed that a subscription was created without my knowledge or explicit consent and that €29.99 is being attempted to be charged to my card.
I demand that myiq.com/eu immediately cancel this subscription that was started without my permission, and that the €29.99 charge not be posted to my card or legal account, or, if it is posted, that it be fully refunded. I also request that a proper investigation be conducted into these unauthorized subscription practices to prevent similar issues from happening to other users.
