The Missha SPF cream didn’t protect my skin from pigmentation — how can I tell if it’s suitable for sun protection?

Check the Level of Protection: Make sure your Missha SPF cream has at least SPF 30 — ideally SPF 50. Look for a PA rating (PA+++ or PA++++) to ensure it protects against UVA rays, which cause pigmentation and aging.

Also check the expiration date and storage — expired or poorly stored sunscreen won’t work properly.

How Did You Use It? SPF must be applied generously; too little reduces effectiveness. Reapply every 2–3 hours, especially when outdoors, sweating, or after washing. Makeup with SPF isn’t a substitute for proper sunscreen.

Is It Right for You? If it didn’t irritate but failed to protect, it might not be strong enough for active sun. Choose a water-resistant formula and look for added ingredients like niacinamide or antioxidants to boost defense.

What If Pigmentation Appeared? Discontinue that SPF and use a more reliable one.

Consider brightening products (vitamin C, arbutin, azelaic acid), but consult a dermatologist first. Use hats, sunglasses, and shade when outside.
